Dear Renee, you are amazing - thank you for writing and for sharing your insight; your note really lifted my spirits! And your "happy ending" let's me know that we will all be okay, maybe even better than okay! Keep up the good work and I hope our paths cross soon. Warmly, Shawna

Dear Shawna - I can empathize with how you are feeling. In 2004, when I started my business, I had one child who was going into first grade and one child who was 2. I also worked part time as a chef 30 hours a week, AND in a complete renovation on our house. I don't know what I was thinking. But, eight years later the business is successful and growing, the children are 14 and 10, and I am still married to the same man! God love him! :) In deciding what's best for your family and business always know that you will learn as you go and figure out what is best for everyone involved...and that includes you, too. Life goes by so quickly and our children are not with us forever or our parents for that matter. One day at a time, Renee

You hit the nail on the head... they grow up too fast! I think the combination of Teddy turning one and going back to work is tough right now but will get easier; I just see so many changes happening very quickly! Your positive attitude and encouragement are very helpful. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts.

What a great post. The balance of parenthood and work is one that is hard to master.

I hope that you are able to find a happy balance that leaves you feeling satisfied with how much time you can give to both of your babies.

As moms we often live with guilt. Not enough books were read today, did we eat enough veggies (or brownies??), did my child go to bed happy?

Find a guilt free balance!

And it's true..... some babies grow up and change way too fast! Enjoy every moment!
